OBJECTIVES:

Newstoons, a concept created by Mark Fiore long time veteran in the political cartoonist and the first Pulitzer prize winner to win for online cartoon work. Mark is focused on creating a compelling media channel with the aim of aggregating current and relevant cartoons/animations in and around political topics.

SOLUTION:

Utilizing a new intuitive content workflow we created an imeresive and engaging experience around political cartoons content. The application user interface, was designed to allow an easy access to the vast library of content of both new and old. The channel designed to engage and provoke the viewers to learn more about current events, via the unique list of articles are associated with each tune, or to act, via donations outlets or responding to pools. Content can be explored via numerous path ways, either vertical (topic) or chronologically.

The application was build for Apple’s iPhone platform, and is utilizing Apple’s latest SDK. The tunes, pole, and news articles are managed via the Drupal Open Source management system.

RESULT:

The application provide users the means to engage, explore and educate themselves around current topics. Using this platform we are able to expand the uni-sided consumption experience and spark a group conversation  around topics that close to us all.
